HOW DEEP IS THE SEA, geophysics in water
Genoa - Loggia degli Abati - Palazzo Ducale
The exhibition has as ssubject geophysics, a science that developed while Italy was building and growing and whose progress often coincided with events that have marked our history. Interactive exhibits, scientific panels and films illustrate some phenomena linked to the geodynamic processes active in the Mediterranean, from earthquakes to volcanic eruptions to seaquakes. Increasingly sophisticated technologies make it possible to "observe" the seabed and to study and monitor the processes taking place in the Mediterranean, helping to plan sustainable development for the twenty nations and thirty million people who live permanently along its shores.
