From 16 to 18 November in Catania, at Palazzo Platamone - Palazzo della Cultura, the Final Conference of NEMOH will be held, a networking training project included in the Marie Curie actions of the 7th Framework Program of the European Commission, coordinated by the director of Vulcani Structure of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), Paolo Papale, with the aim of supporting the growth of the new generation of volcanologists through the training of 18 young researchers of international origin.

The Network is made up of 12 partners from 9 European countries, coordinated by INGV.

The young researchers followed an individual training programme, both through the development of personal research at an international level, developed with one or more project partners, and through specially organized schools and events open to numerous other young researchers, thus creating the conditions for further exchanges and enrichments.

During the Final Conference, the young NEMOH researchers will present their scientific activity and the results obtained. The Conference will be enriched by the presence and participation of internationally renowned scientists who will contribute, with their own visions on the main open problems and on the most promising developments, to identify with the NEMOH community the main frontiers of scientific research in the volcanological field in the near future.
