COVER STORY
With the introduction of distance learning and with so much free time for adults and children, today more than ever it is essential to help make time "useful" and "fun". In the new pages "Educational" of INGV you can find games, videos, comics and photo news to learn and have fun.
THE EDITORIAL
Italy and the whole world are still grappling with the pandemic that has radically changed our lifestyles for months now, rewriting times, habits and priorities. Our nation continues to be a protected area, while moving towards the new challenges imposed by the next phases and #stayhome remains a fundamental warning just as the hashtag #INGVoperativosempre remains central for us, created to give our small but dutiful contribution to the emergency, keeping all our activities operational in the seismic and volcanic surveillance rooms in Catania, Naples and Rome.
L'GUEST OF HONOR
Meeting with Stefano Laporta, President of ISPRA
Earthquake monitoring also continues remotely
The volcano is there but you can't see it: Campi Flegrei between myth and reality
The needle in the rock: discovering the earth's magnetic field
A RESEARCHER'S LIFE
INTERVIEW A
Intuitions, a lot of curiosity and a maniacal care in acquiring data are the ingredients that have led Giovanni Chiodini to be an esteemed volcanologist at INGV. Apart from the "clothes" of a researcher, he loves walking and devoting himself to a few (but good) friends. From his love for Naples to long walks in the mountains, Giovanni didn't become a cowboy or an Indian as he dreamed of as a child but he certainly launched indelible arrows into the world of research.

LAB EXPERIENCES
The Fluid Geochemistry Laboratory of the Vesuvius Observatory
A thoughtful structure and following the best practices for the study of gases, waters and fumarolic condensates for the support of research and geochemical monitoring activities of volcanoes and areas characterized by degassing processes. It is the Fluid Geochemistry Laboratory of the Vesuvius Observatory, the Naples Section of INGV. We interviewed Stefano Caliro, head of this Lab, to better discover the many activities that the Institute's researchers and technicians carry out every day within it.

MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP
The Subsoil Monitoring Center: a working group that has always been "agile"
Social distancing measures and the need for everyone to work from home in these "COVID" times have, for almost everyone, disrupted daily work routines. This is true for "almost" everyone. In fact, an INGV operating structure has not had to review its priorities and operating methods because it has always worked in a de-centralized way and based on connections and collaborations centered on the Internet: the Subsoil Monitoring Center (CMS, ed).
