After the 6.0 magnitude earthquake that occurred at 03:36 Italian time on August 24, the National Seismic Network of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) locateda total of 2406 events: 127 earthquakes with a magnitude between 3.0 and 4.0; 12 localized ones of magnitude between 4.0 and 5.0 ed a di magnitude greater than 5.0 (that of magnitude 5.4 (Mw 5.3), which took place on 24 August at 04:33 Italian time in the Norcia area (PG).
