Since the beginning of the sequence, with the 6.0 magnitude earthquake that occurred at 03:36 Italian time on 24 August, the INGV National Seismic Network has located a total of about 3600 events: 150 earthquakes with magnitudes between 3.0 and 4.0, 13 located of magnitude between 4.0 and 5.0 and one of magnitude greater than 5.0 (the one of magnitude 5.4 (Mw 5.3) which took place on 24 August at 04:33 Italian time in the Norcia area (PG).

Since 09.00 this morning (time of the last update) there have been 3 events of magnitude greater than or equal to 3.0, shown in the table below. The strongest earthquake, of magnitude M 3.7, was localized at 13:35 pm Italian time in the province of L'Aquila near Campotosto.
