One week after the M 6.5 magnitude event, the seismic sequence continues. Since last August 24, the total number of aftershocks is approximately 23.900. At 17:00 today, November 6, there are about 682 earthquakes with a magnitude between 3 and 4, 41 with a magnitude between 4 and 5 and 5 with a magnitude greater than or equal to 5 located by National Seismic Network of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV).
In the map below the evolution of the sequence started on August 24th 2016.

After the event of October 30, at 07:40 Italian time of magnitude M 6.5 a total of over 3700 seismic events have been located. At 17:00 today, November 6, there are about 335 earthquakes with a magnitude between 3 and 4 and 20 with a magnitude between 4 and 5 located by National Seismic Network of INGV.

The strongest earthquake since the last update (November 05, 11:00 Italian time) has been localized in province of Macerata on 6 November at 04:19 Italian time, of magnitude 3.8, near Pievebovigliana and Pieve Torina.
