From the beginning of the sequence, with the earthquake of magnitude 6.0 which took place at 03:36 Italian time on 24 August, the National Seismic Network (RSN) of the National Institute of Geophysics Volcanology (INGV) located a total of over 5500 events: 159 earthquakes with a magnitude between 3.0 and 4.0; 15 localized ones of magnitude between 4.0 and 5.0 e a di magnitude greater than 5.0, the one of magnitude 5.4 (Mw 5.3) which took place on 24 August at 04:33 Italian time in the Norcia area (PG).
