From the beginning of the sequence, with the earthquake of magnitude 6.0 which occurred at 03:36 Italian time on 24 August, the National Seismic Network (RSN) of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) has located a total of about 9500 events: 186 i earthquakes of magnitude between 3.0 and 4.0; 15 localized ones of magnitude between 4.0 and 5.0 eddi magnitude greater than 5.0, that of magnitude 5.4 (Mw 5.3) occurred on 24 August at 04:33 Italian time in the Norcia area (PG).

The map of the seismic sequence in central Italy updated at 11:00 on 16 September.

From 11.00 on 12 September (time of last update) have been registered 10 earthquakes of magnitude greater than or equal to 3.0, as reported in table below.

The strongest events, 2 of magnitude 3.9 and one of magnitude 3.7,  occurred yesterday a few minutes apart between 16:40 and 16.44:XNUMX (Italian time), located in the province of Perugia, a few kilometers south-east of Norcia.
