With reference to the seismic events of last April 15 (magnitude 7.0) in Japan and April 16 (magnitude 7.8) in Ecuador, we report the note published on the INGVterremoti Blog of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), with all 'inside insights into these two areas geographically distant from each other but very similar from a tectonical point of view, both belonging to the so-called "Pacific ring of fire".
