Mter2.0 Open Science INGVDa Monday 22 to Friday 26 May, the seat of Portovenere of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) opens its doors to the public with initiatives related to M@ter 2.0, project aimed at the dissemination of scientific and technological culture and funded by MIUR (like the previous one MATER – Planet Earth Sea). The occasionScienzAperta 2017, now in its seventh edition. Among the scheduled appointments, a participatory planning workshop in the primary schools of the Isa10-Lerici (project leader) of the serious game "Risk Detective". The company game weblog M@ter2.0 fall will be available in the fall with a kit to play in schools and a digital version accessible to all. Above all, fourth and fifth grade children will be involved, ready to track down natural hazards along an arduous path made up of unexpected events that they will have to face with good practices and learn to avoid with prevention. Researchers will thus be able to calibrate, improve and test the game that is still in progress.

Goal of the project M@ter 2.0 è previving the exploration, observation and knowledge of nature, also thanks to the recovery of those values ​​that enhance contact with the surrounding area, with a playful methodological approach. The initiatives, the result of the multi-year collaboration between the Istituto Comprensivo di Lerici and the research institutions present in the area, see the involvement of the Portovener officeand and of the laboratory for scientific dissemination and museum activities of INGV,in collaboration with the Institute of Marine Sciences of the National Council of Ricsearch (CNR-ISMAR), il Marine Environment Research Center of the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Economic Development sustainable (ENEA) of Santa Teresa (Lerici) e the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) Sts of Livorno.
