The Bif&st (Bari International Film Festival) this year will host the Cinema and Science section, sponsored by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) and the National Research Council (CNR). The kermesse, now in its eighth edition, will be held in Bari from 22 to 29 April. On the occasion of the tribute dedicated to the great actor and producer Jacques Perrin, coordinated by Orsetta Gregoretti, some films directed by him and/or products related to the theme of the environment and nature will be presented. At the end of each screening there will be a meeting with scientists and cultural personalities. Among others, Antonio Navarra, INGV climatologist and President of CMCC (Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change) will also speak:

In the afternoon of 23 April, at the end of Gianni Amelio's film LAMERICA, pathologist Cristina Cattaneo will discuss together with Giuseppe De Mola of Doctors Without Borders and with the President of the Puglia Region Michele Emiliano the delicate task of recognizing the bodies of migrants fished out in the Mediterranean to give them an identity.
