As part of the activities of ForumPA 2019, theIstituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) will be present at the La Nuvola Congress Centre (Rome - EUR) to raise awareness among institutions and citizens on the topic of seismic prevention.
On Wednesday 15 May, from 15:30 to 17:00, the appointment is at the conference "I Cantieri di Casa Italia", as part of the Innovation for sustainability process, created in collaboration with the Casa Italia Department of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
The "Cantieri di Casa Italia" were created with the aim of activating an experimentation of highly innovative anti-seismic solutions on publicly owned residential buildings: "good practices" which are candidates to constitute a point of reference for seismic prevention interventions, public and private extended to the entire national territory.
The ForumPA will also be an opportunity for a wider involvement on the theme of prevention of local institutions, civil society associations, local schools and universities, technicians and the population in general.
At the conference, Massimo Crescimbene, INGV psychologist, will discuss the theme "Earthquakes between perception and reality" illustrating the results of the survey on the perception of seismic risk, carried out by INGV, on a statistical sample of over 4.000 Italians.
At the same time, a workstation will be set up where the public will be able to fill in the questionnaire on the perception of seismic risk online. The answers may be commented upon, at the request of the citizens, by the INGV experts present at the station.
