In addition to the rich program of appointments of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) for the XIII edition of the National Geographic Science Festival at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, from 16 to 22 April, at the information points of the INGV will be available to visitors the story maps on earthquakes and seismic risk.
Story maps are a combination of interactive maps and applications that incorporate multimedia content and interaction features. For some years now, INGV has made available a gallery of story maps (http://terremoti.ingv.it/it/storymaps.html) which tell various aspects of seismicity, monitoring and seismic risk of our territory.
At the National Geographic Festival of Sciences, 4 story maps will be presented which will deal with the seismic sequence in Central Italy, the main seismic events in the last 50 years and the integration between real-time seismicity and seismological databases.
The story maps, in addition to being available at the Auditorium, are freely available at the following web address: https://bit.ly/2GWQ7kY
