Tomorrow, November 22 at 10.00, the presentation of the National Day for Safety in Schools, established by the Ministry of Education, University and Research (article 1, paragraph 159, of the law of 13 July 2015, n. 107 - "The good school"), to remember all the victims of the accidents that took place in Italian schools. On this date, the Ministry organizes, together with the schools, a series of events aimed at spreading the culture of safety and risk management and prevention.

In this appointment in Rome, the training and information projects on safety will be presented, organized in collaboration with the Department of Civil Protection (DPC) and the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), with the National Institute for Accident Insurance at Work ( INAIL) and the National Institute of Documentation, Innovation and Educational Research (Indire). In the coming weeks, INGV, in agreement with the Miur and the DPC, will launch a substantial cycle of information meetings with the teachers of about a hundred schools in the regions affected by the ongoing seismic sequence. The cycle of meetings, called "Earthquake 2016: let's talk about it together" is a declination of the risk education work that INGV has been carrying out for many years in Italian schools with the EDURISK project (www.edurisk.it).

There will also be a space dedicated to the awarding of schools which during the 2015-2016 school year distinguished themselves for the production of content on safety issues in schools. Furthermore, from today until 23 November, all Italian schools will be involved in activities and events to spread the culture of safety and risk prevention.
