Thursday 24 August at 11.00, one year after the beginning of the Amatrice-Visso-Norcia seismic sequence, theIstituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV), at Via di Vigna Murata 605 in Rome, opens its doors to the public and journalists to present the results of the Institute's work during the year, what new insights have been gained into earthquake dynamics, and how the Institute intends to commit itself to studying seismicity to increasingly serve the nation. During the event, the Director of the INGV's Vesuvius Observatory, Francesca Bianco, will provide an update on the earthquake that struck the island of Ischia on the evening of August 21st.
The meeting will be opened by the President of INGV, Carlo Doglioni.

Afterwards, a visit to the seismic room and the Institute's laboratories.
