On Thursday 11 October at 10.00, at the headquarters of the Civil Protection Department (Via Ulpiano 11 – Rome), the eighth edition of "I don't risk - Good practices in civil protection" will be presented to the press. The national communication campaign on natural risks associated with earthquakes, floods and seaquakes will return to around 300 Italian squares with 3.500 volunteers on the weekend of 13 and 14 October, on the occasion of the UN International Day for Disaster Reduction.
The head of the Civil Protection Department, Angelo Borrelli, the President of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) Carlo Doglioni, the Director General of INGV Maria Siclari, the National Head of Civil Protection of the National Association of Public Assistance (ANPAS) Carmine Lizza, the Professor of the Network of University Laboratories of Seismic Engineering (ReLUIS) Angelo Masi, the President of the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) Stefano Laporta and the President of the International Monitoring Center Environmental (CIMA) Luca Ferraris.
The "I don't risk" campaign is promoted by the Civil Protection Department with ANPAS-National Association of Public Assistance, INGV-National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology and ReLUIS-Network of University Seismic Engineering Laboratories. Scientific partners are also ISPRA-Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research, OGS-National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics, AiPo-Interregional Agency for the Po River, Arpa Emilia-Romagna, Arno River Basin Authority, CamiLab -University of Calabria, Cima Foundation and CNR-IRPI Research Institute for Hydro-geological Protection of the National Research Council.

An interesting initiative to promote the participation of citizens inside and outside the squares is also scheduled for Thursday 11 October, from 11.00 to 13.00, when, during the press conference to present the event, the promoters of the campaign will make an appointment for a mobilization virtual on Twitter. The idea is to support the initiative via social media through a tweetstorm, i.e. a simultaneous flow of tweets with the event's official hashtags: #iononrischio and #iononrischio2018.
