This morning the Head of the Department of Civil Protection (DPC), Fabio Ciciliano, welcomed Fabio Florindo, President of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), and the new one General Director of the Institute, Giovanni Torre, visiting the Department.
The meeting was an opportunity to renew the great collaboration between the two bodies and give new impetus to the synergy between science and civil protection, which is one of the pillars of the Italian risk management model.
An active proximity in forecasting and prevention activities that daily helps to address the emergencies that occur in the country, from the bradyseismic crisis at Campi Flegrei to the in-depth analyses on seismicity that constantly offer us new elements to understand, and prepare to manage, the fragilities of our territory.
