At the Castle of Santa Severa (Rome) and in Lerici (La Spezia) three days of immersive events to connect with the natural environment
From 8 June 2023 INGV and EMSO invite all at the Castle of Santa Severa (Santa Marinella, Rome) and in Lerici (Spice) to the "World Oceans Day: Knowing, Understanding, Living Together” with an immersive format of science and art to arouse connections with the natural environment, allowing to learn more about the ocean and understand how to actively contribute to its conservation.
On the occasion of the World Oceans Day (WOD) established by the United Nations, the "World Oceans Day: Knowing, Understanding, Living Together” is an event in which everyone will be able to learn about the immense and vulnerable resource of the Earth, in the spectacular setting of the Santa Severa Castle with its Museum of the Sea and Ancient Navigation and in the historic village of Lerici.
Guided exhibitions, exhibition itineraries, film forums, workshops, theatrical performances and much more await you at the Castle and in Lerici!
Guided by experts engaged in the study and protection of this extraordinary resource, we will discuss the vulnerability of the ocean to discover the importance it has in maintaining life on our planet.
