The best contributions from the world of Italian public research are now online in a single platform
Science and research for school: physics and astrophysics, space, environment, nature, technology, mathematics, human and social sciences, innovation and energy saving and everything that can be included in the definition of scientific research available to teachers and students who in this period they have organized themselves with distance learning, but also with the families who support them. The initiative belongs to all the Italian public research bodies, which have joined together to bring together contents, videos and interactive contributions in a single platform, that of the National Institute of Documentation, Innovation and Educational Research (INDIRE).
The material, continuously updated and which refers to the best communication production in the world of research, is organized by theme, tag and institution to which it belongs and becomes not only a didactic and in-depth study tool, but also a stimulus for broadening the horizons of knowledge.
These are the public research bodies and their contributions:
Science Park area: From genomics to nutrition, from the Internet of Things to technologies for exploring space and beyond. Area Science Park tells, through a series of videos, how research and innovation find feedback and application in the daily life of all of us.
ASI: The story of Space for the Italian Space Agency passes through 19 videos (some of them real virtual lessons): exploring the Universe, discoveries of fundamental physics, experiments and life of astronauts on the International Space Station.
CNR: The multidisciplinarity of the National Research Council is reflected in the multimedia content provided: videos, comics and cartoons, software, exhibitions, webinars, news, articles on current affairs and the activity of the scientific network.
CREA: Video lessons, ebooks, apps and a real web series: to help adults and children discover agriculture, from the gene to the table, always in the name of sustainability, without forgetting the advice for healthy eating from our experts.
CREF: Virtual visit to the museum of the Institute on the life and works of Enrico Fermi and the group of boys from Via Panisperna. Scientific dissemination video interviews on the themes of complexity, propagation of fake news on social networks.
ENEA: The Organization offers a 'package' of 10 online lessons on energy efficiency and saving and 10 live Facebook lessons with its experts, dedicated to the themes of the Info-reality episodes on energy efficiency created for the "Italy in Class A" campaign ” in collaboration with the MiSE. There is also a selection of videos on the climate, the environment, the circular economy, fusion energy and technological innovation.
INAF: The Institute's proposals collect materials dedicated to teachers in the classrooms, but also videos aimed directly at students and virtual exhibitions to visit online for the whole family. From the Solar System to black holes, from the Moon to exoplanets, between the past and the future of the sciences of the universe.
INDAM: The Institute is well aware of how important school is and that there can be no Higher Mathematics without quality mathematics education at all school levels. #lascuolaconta: videos, lessons, ideas for the DAD and beyond, the mathematics community for and with the school.
INDIRE: The Institute offers a section for distance learning with more than 150 webinars attended by 25 teachers. It also offers a page of tutorials and innovative tools, virtual exhibitions and contributions on coding, music at school and technologies applied to teaching.
INFN: Gravitational waves, antimatter, dark matter, the Higgs boson are some of the protagonists of the insights proposed by INFN. Modern physics told to students, experiments to do at home, Facebook live broadcasts, cartoons, conference-shows for children and families and much more.
INGV: A selection of videos, images and games to enter the fascinating planet, from volcanic eruptions to glacier walks to the discovery of seismic tremors. On a journey that from the web continues "on" planet Earth.
INRIM: From the history of measurement science to measurements in everyday life: metrology and its contribution to scientific, technological and industrial development, but not only.
VALID: the Institute presents a first group of videos useful for focusing on some aspects relating to the national tests and will continue to propose specific contributions to offer ideas and insights on the evaluation of the Italian school system as a whole, on related research, on the use of data and on international investigations to which our country adheres.
Italian Institute of Germanic Studies: The Institute, the only one of the Italian Research Institutions exclusively dedicated to the humanities, with a specialization in the cultures of Northern Europe (German-speaking cultures, Scandinavian countries and the Dutch-speaking area), offers a series of videos uniform format with in-depth lessons on German philosophy, history and literature, with excursions into Nordic literatures.
ISPRA: The environment teaches: documentaries and commercials for all ages, also useful for educational activities; a trip to the naturalistic oasis of Castel Porziano, the deep colors of the Mediterranean and the submarine robot to study the seabed, the plastic in the sea and the impacts on sea turtles, hunting for "aliens" among our species.
ISS: The Institute, today at the forefront of fighting the new coronavirus epidemic, is making available a series of videos to raise awareness and appreciate the world of research seen "from within". You will hear the voice of today's young researchers, to be able to share their choices and their enthusiasm, and yesterday's researchers, to learn about the roots of the most important public health research body in Italy.
ISTAT: Through typically educational products - from games to statistical fairy tales, to educational packages up to virtual tours - Istat offers a path of knowledge of official statistics that reflects the Institute's commitment to promote an approach aware of the importance of data in everyday life.
OGS: The Institute offers a selection of easy-to-use materials relating to some of the fields of Earth, Sea and Polar Area Sciences which it deals with on a daily basis. Videos, lessons and in-depth content ranging from the study of the climate and the consequences of the melting of polar ice to the tools that are used by researchers for geophysical analyzes and for the study of the oceans, but also reflections on environmental, social and economic problems.
ANTON DOHRN Zoological Station: the video contributions provided by the SZN are focused on raising awareness and dissemination on issues affecting the marine ecosystem.
