Signature of the three-year Framework Agreement between the Regional Civil Protection Agency of the Lazio Region and INGV

Tomorrow 9 June at 11.00 - in the Crisis Room of the Lazio Region in via Cristoforo Colombo, 212 in Rome - the Regional Civil Protection Agency of the Lazio Region and the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) will sign the three-year Framework Agreement for technical-scientific and informative support in the civil protection activities of regional competence aimed at seismic and volcanic risk.
The agreement provides for the activation of privileged channels of information on seismicity in real time, in order to guarantee immediate and adequate civil protection interventions in the event of major earthquakes or seismic sequences within the regional territory. Furthermore, specific agreements will be activated for activities and studies aimed at seismic, geodetic and geochemical monitoring of seismic and volcanic areas.
The Director of the Regional Civil Protection Agency, Gennaro Tornatore, and the President of INGV, Stefano Gresta, will be present at the signing.
