The Minister of University and Research (MUR), Cristina Messa, reconfirmed Prof. Carlo Doglioni as President of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV).
The choice, which took place following the public selection of the MUR, considers him the most suitable to hold the position.
Through the positive management of the Institute in recent years, such as the consolidation of the budget and the push towards scientific planning, the men and women of INGV will have the possibility to face the new challenges of research in the geosciences and to improve the constant monitoring of seismicity, volcanism and the Italian environment.
