Dr. Jair LORENCO is the new Director General of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV).
Manager of the State General Accounting Department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), his career was mainly articulated within the structures of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
Graduated in Political Science at the Sapienza University of Rome, he continued his academic studies until obtaining a PhD in Comparative Law of Economics and Finance.
During his long professional career, he has been a member of numerous Boards of Auditors and institutional bodies.
He is the author of publications on public employment, fiscal federalism and supplementary social security.
