From 7 to 11 September 2026 the International Remote Sensing Summer School (IRSSS), a completely high-level training event dedicated to monitoring Alpine glacial areas.
The initiative, now in its fifth edition, is organized by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), from Department of Chemical and Geological Sciences, University of Cagliari (DSCG-UNICA) and Safe Mountain Foundation (FMS), in collaboration with l'Italian Remote Sensing Association (AIT).
In the splendid setting of Villa Cameron, home of the Montagna Sicura Foundation, 20 students from all over the world They will have the opportunity to acquire advanced skills in the field of remote sensing, with a view to international scientific collaboration for the protection of mountain ecosystems.
The School is open to early-career scientists, doctoral students, young postdoctoral researchers, and technicians with basic knowledge of Earth sciences and remote sensing disciplines.
