On December 18, the Commission of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) in charge of carrying out the procedure for overcoming the precariousness concluded its work with the examination of the 149 applications admitted to participation.
"Thus the formal act was completed which gives the green light to the stabilization of part of the staff who have been working with commitment and dedication for years, always with fixed-term contracts", explains Maria Siclari, General Manager of INGV.
"Of the 149 candidates for the stabilization procedure, 33 have achieved in the meantime the placement in the role through public competitions", continues Siclari, "therefore, the remaining 116 candidates fully fall within the hiring budget deriving from the assignments pursuant to the DPCM 11/4/2018, supplemented by the INGV co-financing arranged by the Board of Directors”.
The 116 candidates were all summoned on Friday 21 December, at the Conference Hall of the INGV in Rome, to sign the permanent contract which will start on 28 December 2018.
"This is the conclusion of a long journey that has seen the participation of many actors who we want to thank here", underlines Carlo Doglioni, President of INGV, "first of all the same precarious staff, the Board of Directors, the Board of Directors , the trade union organisations, the administrative staff and the Commissioners of the competitions: all have committed themselves to achieving the long-awaited and essential objective by 2018 of closing the page of the historical precariousness and starting a new constructive path of the Institute which sees working serenity as fundamental prerequisite for an ever greater scientific productivity”.
