Dr. Giovanni TORRE is the new Director General of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV).
Formerly Director of the Central Directorate for Personnel Affairs and the Central Directorate for General Affairs and Budget of INGV, his career has been mainly structured in management structures of the Public Administration and the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA). He also held the role of Director of the Economic and Financial Sector and Personnel at the Municipality of Velletri (RM).
Graduated in Economics and Commerce at the University of Salerno, he has gained considerable experience in the fields of human, instrumental and financial resources management.
During his long professional career he has been a member of numerous Boards of Directors and Boards of Auditors.
