After the institutional inaugural event held at the Senate of the Republic, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) continues the celebrations for the twenty-fifth anniversary of its institution.
For the occasion, the Editorial Board of 'Annals of Geophysics', the scientific journal published by the Institute since 1948, has organized a series of scientific seminars that, from today until May 2025, will bring together experts from different countries on the current and future challenges of Earth Sciences.
The seminars, hosted in the Conference Rooms of the INGV offices in Rome and Catania and broadcast live on the institutional YouTube channel “INGVeventi”, will be held by internationally renowned scientists who have collaborated with INGV researchers over the years, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the various scientific subjects covered and conferring prestige on the Institute.
The series of events will offer an exciting and in-depth overview of the state of the art of the main disciplines of interest to the Institute: seismology, volcanology and environmental sciences.
The topics of the seminars will then be developed and collected in a special volume of 'Annals of Geophysics' entitled “Embracing the Past, Empowering the Present, and Envisioning the Future”, to be published soon.
