From the 26 to the 28 JuneOn the shores of Lake Trasimeno and on his Isola Maggiore, in Umbria, the appointment with returns Einstein's Island, the international festival of scientific performances organized by Psiquadro where artists, performers, scientists, and communicators share their passion for discovery with the public through experiments, natural phenomena, and science stories that intrigue, entertain, and enthuse.
Also this year theIstituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) will be among the protagonists of the event with a rich program of activities.

Scientific talk → WHO WANTS TO BE A RESEARCHER?

An original INGV format in which researchers share how they decided to dedicate their lives to research and what it means to make a living from science: life paths, experiences, passions, disappointments, myths, and anecdotes of those who study our planet's geophysical phenomena every day.
For the entire duration of the event, theIsola Maggiore, reachable by ferries from Tuoro sul Trasimeno, Passignano sul Trasimeno and Castiglione del Lago, will host meetings, talk and themed walks to discover the themes and methods of research and the natural environment of the island.
Furthermore, in Campo del Sole in Tuoro sul Trasimeno the market will be open'EINSTEIN VILLAGE, the science village curated by INGV, the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), EGO-VIRGO, ESERO Italia, and the Italian Alpine Club (CAI). Here, scientific demonstrations, games, and meetings will entertain both adults and children.
The INGV, in particular, will intrigue the public with an exciting team challenge to test your preparation in case of earthquake and with exhibit to discover how earthquakes are located in the Institute's Seismic Monitoring Room and what happens beneath our feet when seismic waves propagate.
Einstein Island activities are at free entry and do not require a reservation.
