Thanks to the data from the Seismic Network of the Vesuvius Observatory (INGV section of Naples), designed precisely for the surveillance and monitoring of the volcanoes in Campania, the hypocentral parameters and the magnitude of the earthquake that occurred this evening at 20:57 Italian time in the near the island of Ischia. The duration magnitude value Md is equal to 4.0 and the depth is equal to 5 km.

New hypocentral localization obtained with data from the Seismic Network of the Vesuvian Observatory.
Further analyzes for a better definition of hypocentral parameters and magnitude are in progress and updates will be provided in the next few hours as soon as all available data has been analysed.
Below is the map (updated at 00:28) with the distribution of seismic impact expressed in MCS scale (Mercalli-Cancani-Sieberg) according to the questionnaires received up to this moment on the site http://www.haisentitoilterremoto.it/
