This hot, hot, hot world | Science Festival | Genoa 23 October - 1 November

The exhibition arises from the collaboration between INGV and a scientific dissemination association (Volcano Explorations). The part curated by Vulcano Exploration offers a naturalistic view of these phenomena by presenting them without filters, so as they appear in nature while the INGV displays the scientific aspect in an effective and usable way.

The engine of most of the geodynamic phenomena observed on its surface, the Earth's heat originates in the inner core and spreads unstoppably towards the surface. In some places on the earth's surface, conditions of exceptional heat concentration produce spectacular phenomena and create landscapes and morphologies of great beauty: geysers, bubbling mud pools, fumaroles, thermal waters with the most improbable, multicolored encrustations and fascinating crystals.

In addition to illustrating the spectacularity? and address the scientific aspect of the geothermal phenomenon, the exhibition also reveals how man can interact and benefit from this incredible source of energy: free, spontaneous, inexhaustible and clean.
