On Friday 14 December, at the historic Palazzo WeGIL in Rome, the President of the Lazio Region Nicola Zingaretti will award the winners of the call for proposals "Research Group Projects - Knowledge and cooperation for a new development model". The INGV project "EDI-SECUR: Development of an innovative optical sensor for monitoring the dynamic behavior of buildings in seismic areas" was also the winner. "EDI-SECUR" aims to create an innovative optical sensor for the dynamic monitoring of civil structures that allows to improve the knowledge of the behavior of buildings subjected to calamitous events, with simplified procedures compared to the techniques currently in use. The project is carried out by INGV researchers from the Rome 1 Section with the collaboration of ENEA: a multidisciplinary working group within the various seismological, geological and engineering skills necessary for the best development of the planned activity.
