Appointment in Procida, from 10 to 24 September, for the Summer Training School of Archeology and Cultural Heritage of land and sea. The practice of archaeological excavation and the new technologies of study, documentation and exhibition.
Among the novelties of this edition, a module dedicated to innovative systems for monitoring monumental assets in seismic areas, conducted by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) which, with the Suor Orsola University of Naples and the Municipality of Procida, carried out the tender in collaboration with the Department of Earth, Environmental and Resources Sciences of the Federico II University of Naples, the Department of Cultural Heritage of the University of Salento and the Superintendency of the Sea of the Sicilian Region.
Furthermore, the National Research Council (CNR) will participate in the training program with the National Institute for Studies and Experiences of Naval Architecture Naval Tank (INSEAN), the Institute for Electromagnetic Sensing of the Environment (IREA), the Institute of studies on intelligent systems for automation (ISSIA) and the Nello Carrara Institute of Applied Physics (IFAC). We will talk about the new frontiers for surveying and research in marine and coastal environments.
Enrollment at the school is free and open to students, post-graduates and operators from various sectors (in order to spread knowledge of advanced technologies in the cultural heritage sector, living expenses have been minimized thanks to agreements with Procida's reception facilities ).
