Thanks President!

Enzo Boschi has left the leadership of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology. He did it eleven years after the establishment of the Institute and after directing the National Institute of Geophysics for many years, one of the structures that merged into the new Institute in 2001.

Those past were not easy years for Italian research, especially for those like us who study the Earth and its new and complex relationships with society. But they have also been years of great enthusiasm and growth for our research on earthquakes, volcanoes and, more in general, for all Italian geophysics. This enthusiasm and this growth have brought Italy one of the most? large and prestigious research institutions in the world in the field of Earth sciences: our Institute. A result of which the President ? was certainly the main promoter and protagonist.

The directors of the sections of the Institute would like today to warmly thank Enzo Boschi for this special journey made together.

Thank you, President, for the determination, dedication, courage and vision you put into leading our Institute every day.
