On Wednesday 6 February, at 16,30 pm, the Irpinia di Grottaminarda branch of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) will host the presentation of SIRENE, a Modular Decision Support Information System for Emergency Planners and Managers, based on Information and Communication Technologies and related Web services, designed and created in order to anticipate and manage the impacts due to natural and/or man-induced events.
The presentation will be held by Simone Sterlacchini, researcher of the LARGE Laboratory (Laboratory of Risk Analysis and Emergency Management) of the Institute for the Dynamics of Environmental Processes of the National Research Council (CNR).
The meeting will be an opportunity to promote and consolidate activities useful for providing effective responses to the real needs of the territory for the protection of the population and the environment and to apply new technologies and innovative strategies for the characterization and mitigation of risks.
