This morning, 11 August 2018, a seismic event of magnitude Ml 3.0 occurred at 05:26 Italian time, in an area of the province of Udine between the municipalities of Cavazzo Carnico, Trasaghis, Amaro, Bordano, Tolmezzo, Verghenis and Venzone. This event was preceded yesterday evening by 4 other small seismic events with a maximum magnitude of 1.6. Four minutes later, at 05:30 Italian time, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology localized a stronger earthquake of magnitude Mw 3.6 (Ml 3.9).
At 12:00 there were 19 earthquakes located in the area, a total of 5 events greater\equal to 2.0.
