Between 11.09pm and 11.19pm (Italian time) on 27 April 2017 the National Seismic Network (RSN) ofIstituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) has located three earthquakes with magnitude greater than or equal to 3.5 between the provinces of Macerata and Perugia, in the area affected by the seismic sequence that began in August 2016.
As can be seen from the map below, the three events had as their epicentral area the area on the border between the Marches and Umbria near the municipalities of Visso (MC), Monte Cavallo (MC), Ussita (MC) and Preci (PG ).
The municipalities within 10 km from the epicenter are as follows (the columns after the names respectively indicate the province, the distance from the epicenter in km, the inhabitants):
