Between 23:09 pm and 23:19 pm (Italian time) on April 27, 2017, the National Seismic Network (RSN) of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) located 3 earthquakes of magnitude greater than or equal to 3.5 among the provinces of Macerata and Perugia, in the area affected by the seismic sequence that began in August 2016.

As can be seen from the map below, the three events had as their epicentral area the area on the border between the Marches and Umbria near the municipalities of Visso (MC), Monte Cavallo (MC), Ussita (MC) and Preci (PG ).
