The appointments of “Science Together NET”, the Project which will enliven the next four months with talks, urban trekking, games, scientific aperitifs and conference-shows and then conclude on 24 September with the European Researchers' Night 2021.
NET was born from the experience of Scienza Insieme, coordinated by the National Research Council (CNR), which for several years has brought together eleven of the most important public research bodies and universities in our country: in addition to the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV ), the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA), the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF), the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN), the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA), the CINECA Interuniversity Consortium, the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", the University "Sapienza" of Rome, the University of Tuscia and the University UNINETTUNO International Telematics.
The aim of the event is to bring adults and children closer to the world of science and research and to increase citizens' awareness and involvement in the global challenge of climate change through workshops, face-to-face and virtual tours, interactive conferences and many other free events which, starting next weekend, they will be organized in Rome, Viterbo and many other Italian cities.
The first appointment of the event will be, on Saturday 4 June, a scientific trekking organized by ISPRA at the Drizzagno and Ansa Morta di Spinaceto along the river Tiber, to then continue on Sunday 5 June with the INAF "Star Trekking", a walk among the Roman basilicas of Santa Maria degli Angeli and Santa Maria Maggiore where art merges with the history of astronomy, and with the walk in the woods of Monte Tusculum curated by INFN researchers.
