Description of the project
The Earth tretteca... Ji no!" is Abruzzo. For those unfamiliar with the dialect: "The Earth trembles... I don't!" is the title of a series of meetings that started on June 15, 2009, in the Tempera reception camp. This project stems from the idea of developing and adapting the training courses of the EDURISK Project to the emergency phase, linking them to the scientific information service on the ongoing seismic sequence, provided by COES (Centro Operativo Emergenza Sismica), the INGV unit at the Di.Coma.C. of Coppito (AQ).The project stems from the collaboration between the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, the Department of Civil Protection, the Local Health Authority 4 of the Abruzzo Region and the Federation of Psychologists for Peoples.
Seismologists from the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology will be present to illustrate how and why? earthquakes occur and provide updated information on seismicity? historical and recent of the Italian territory and, in particular, of Abruzzo.
Will I come the evolution of the 2009 sequence in L'Aquila is also described and some behaviors to follow in the event of an earthquake will be proposed.
Path ? It was developed with the idea of helping people who have lived through the earthquake to understand the phenomenon from a scientific point of view and to cope with its emotional impact. In addition to the seismologists, psychologists from INGV, the Federation of Psychologists for Peoples and the ASL 4 of L'Aquila will be present during the information meetings.
During the meetings, on the basis of the needs that have emerged, will activities be planned? divided by age groups, oriented to the theme of emergency and reconstruction.
The appointments will have an average duration of 2-3 hours based on the number of participants.
The planned initiatives will be notified locally through specific posters posted on the notice boards of the fields concerned.
