More than a year after the seismic sequence that struck Central Italy, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) met citizens and students of Amatrice to present the results of the work carried out by the Institute during these months, the seismic history of the area, the prospects for research on earthquakes and the latest news on reconstructive techniques in the building field. Two days of conferences, seminars, meetings and scientific cafés. For the occasion, the documentary by Gianni Amelio was screened Someone else's house, shot and dedicated to Amatrice, produced by Bartleby with Rai Cinema. Gianni Amelio returned to the set for the first time to present his work to the city.
The conference on 29 October, moderated by RaiNews24 journalist Alfredo Di Giovampaolo, saw the presence, among others, of the Mayor of Amatrice Sergio Pirozzi, the President of INGV Carlo Doglioni, the General Manager of INGV Maria Siclari and the scientific consultant of the Head of the Civil Protection Department Mauro Dolce.
