From 21 February to 1 March, at the University of Palermo, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) - Palermo section, participates in the annual scientific event experience in Segna, with workshops, conferences and educational courses.

The theme of this 2018 edition is "Science over time" with a rich program of appointments.
In the INGV stand it will be possible to observe rocks and models of volcanoes, with simulations of degassing processes in the magma chamber, a seismograph during seismic monitoring and one of the new generation observatories for underwater environmental monitoring, with projections of audio material - visual that will document its functioning and the deposition phases.
The conference Volcanoes, earthquakes and observation systems: temporal aspects of geological phenomena and technological evolution will be held on Wednesday 21 February. A temporal and cause-effect path between the evolution of scientific thought and that of the technology of observation and measurement instruments, by means of which it has been possible to reach ever greater detail in understanding the earth's dynamics and its effects.
