The new edition of the Summer School organized by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) will take place on Etna from 2 to 6 September as part of the European project EUROVOLC (European Network of Observatories and Research Infrastructures for Volcanology).

The School, whose theme for this year is "Understanding sub-surface volcanic processes", will be held in Linguaglossa (CT) and is aimed at doctoral students, post docs and young researchers in the sector. The Summer School will consist of two days of lectures held by international experts on topics such as multiparametric modeling, analysis and interpretation of data and modeling of volcanic dynamics, one day will be dedicated to an excursion on Etna with a visit to the monitoring stations and for other two days exercises and practical activities will be held.

The School has no enrollment costs. Participants will only have to bear the costs of their stay at the facility that will host the course.

To participate, you must send your application by 20 April using the form available online at https://eurovolc.eu/?page_id=905. Those admitted will receive a letter of acceptance by 5 May.
