The new civil service projects have been published, including Communicating risk and prevention: the campaign "I don't take risks: good civil protection practices" which sees the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) as a partner in the project promoted by the Department of Civil Protection. This initiative is part of the national communication campaign for the prevention of natural and man-made risks "I don't risk", which aims to promote and disseminate good civil protection practices with reference to the specific risks present on the Italian territory. The protagonists of this campaign are mainly civil protection volunteers: in fact, after being trained in advance, they have the task of meeting citizens in the squares of numerous Italian municipalities to tell about the practices aimed at reducing the citizen's vulnerability to risk. For each type of risk, the volunteers have specially prepared information material at their disposal: a leaflet that simply explains the characteristics of the physical phenomenon and everything you need to know and do to reduce risk before a calamitous event occurs. In addition, a card that briefly illustrates the appropriate behaviors that citizens must adopt during and immediately after the event. With the aim of supporting the initiative in the squares, encouraging the exchange of materials and offering constant in-depth analysis on risk reduction issues, the website www.iononrischio.it and the "Io non risk" account are active on social networks Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The deadline for submitting applications is scheduled for June 26th at 14.00 pm.
