The new civil service projects have been published, among these Communicating risk and prevention: the campaign “I don't risk: good civil protection practices” which sees theIstituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV), a partner in the project promoted by the Department of Civil Protection. This initiative is part of the national communications campaign for the prevention of natural and man-made risks, "Io non rischio," which aims to promote and disseminate best practices in civil protection with regard to specific risks present in Italy. The campaign's protagonists are primarily civil protection volunteers: these, in fact, are trained in advance and are tasked with meeting with citizens in the squares of numerous Italian municipalities to explain practices aimed at reducing their vulnerability to risk. For each type of risk, the volunteers have access to specially prepared informational materials: a leaflet that simply explains the characteristics of the physical phenomenon and everything you need to know and do to reduce risk before a disaster occurs. Furthermore, a factsheet summarizes the appropriate behaviors citizens should adopt during and immediately after the event. To support the initiative in the streets, encourage the exchange of materials, and offer ongoing insights into risk reduction issues, the website www.iononrischio.it and the "Io non rischio" account on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are active.
The deadline for submitting applications is scheduled for June 26th at 14.00 pm.
