On Saturday 25 September, the day Beyond Meteorology – OltreMet2021 will be held at the Castle Park, L'Aquila. Research, responsibility, passion and information.
The meeting is organized by CETEMPS (Centre of Excellence in Remote Sensing and Forecast Modeling of Severe Events) on the occasion of its twentieth anniversary.
In the presence of the President of the Abruzzo Region Marco Marsilio and the Mayor of L'Aquila Pierluigi Biondi, Presidents and Directors of research institutions, agencies and the National Department of Civil Protection will hold a series of speeches.
The Director of the National Earthquake Observatory Salvatore Stramondo will be present for the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology - INGV, who will talk about the activities carried out in collaboration between the two institutions on topics such as atmospheric modeling based on the use of remote sensing data from aircraft , from the ground or from satellite.
INGV collaborates with CETEMPS in national and international projects; the Centre, established in 2001, promotes and coordinates research activity in the areas of short- and long-term meteorological forecasting, hydrological forecasting, remote sensing from land and aerial or satellite platforms and in the field of chemical composition observation and forecasting of the atmosphere.
