The fourth edition of Kidsbit, the European Festival on digital creativity dedicated to little digital explorers, kicks off on Saturday 8 June and will take place next weekend in Perugia, with events scheduled at the Galeazzo Alessi Cameral Center and in the National Gallery of Umbria.

Also this year children and their families will be involved in a large "multimedia ecosystem" between interactive art installations, immersive environments between digital and nature, experiments, workshops, games and shows. The central themes of this edition will be the Environment and environmental education, to stimulate reflection on the importance of everyone's small gestures for the delicate ecosystem that surrounds us.

The Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) will participate in Kidsbit with two events. On Saturday, June 8th, Carlo Alberto Brunori, a geologist at the Institute, will present a lecture-show entitled "There is Not Planet B," leading the audience to discover the cause-and-effect relationships between global warming and melting glaciers. On Sunday, June 9th, Valerio Lombardo, a geologist at the INGV, will lead visitors on a "VR Experience," a fascinating journey inside a volcano crater made possible by augmented reality.
