Studies in the field of natural risks and environmental protection: these are the main topics covered by the agreement signed at the headquarters of the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) by the President of theIstituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) Carlo Doglioni and ISPRA President Stefano Laporta, in the presence of Directors General Maria Siclari (INGV) and Alessandro Bratti (ISPRA). The three-year agreement is aimed at fostering collaboration between INGV, in its role as the national reference research institute for geosciences, including the associated seismic and volcanic monitoring tasks, and ISPRA, in its role as the national reference for the research, collection, and dissemination of geological and environmental data, including through coordination of the National System for Environmental Protection (SNPA). Joint activities include the sharing of geological, geophysical, hydrogeological, and seismological information to enhance the complementarity of their respective institutional tasks.
