Studies in the field of natural risks and environmental protection: these are the main topics covered by the agreement signed at the headquarters of the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) by the President of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) Carlo Doglioni and the President of ISPRA Stefano Laporta, in the presence of the General Managers Maria Siclari (INGV) and Alessandro Bratti (ISPRA). The three-year agreement is aimed at promoting collaboration between INGV, in its role as national reference research institute for geosciences, including the seismic and volcanic surveillance tasks associated with it, and ISPRA, in its role of national reference for the research, collection and diffusion of geological and environmental data, also through the coordination of the National System for the Protection of the Environment (SNPA). Among the joint activities, the sharing of geological, geophysical, hydrogeological and seismological information useful for enhancing the complementarity of the respective institutional tasks.
