3 - 6 March 2015
From Tuesday 3 to Friday 6 March, at the Ingv Section of Pisa - Via della Faggiola 32, 56126 Pisa, a team of model makers will hold 3 days of lessons, practical exercises and discussions related to:
- Thermodynamics: from basic concepts to problem solving in volcanology;
- Fluid dynamics: types of equations and boundary conditions in volcanology;
- OpenFOAM*: how it works and what can be done with it.
At the end of each day there will be a poster session where all participants are invited to present the results of their research.
The last day of the course will be devoted to insights into EU research/funding opportunities for young scientists.
