The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology is launching the "Parole di Terra" competition with the aim of creating a collection of short stories produced by lower secondary school students and with the scientific collaboration of INGV researchers on the natural phenomena of the Planet Earth.
This initiative aims to be a concrete experiment in scientific dissemination aimed at both the active involvement of middle school students and their teachers, and at communication between the world of school and science. In fact, each story will be followed by a brief scientific description of the natural phenomenon narrated.
conditions of participation
You participate in the competition with short stories, strictly unpublished, in Italian, English or French.
The story should be centered on the Earth or on one of its natural phenomena such as wind, sea, rain, waves, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, ....

Entries must not exceed 2 folders.

paper requirements
Entries must not exceed 2 folders.
Folder means one side of A4 sheet, margins not less than 0,5cm (4500 characters). In the first facade will have to? the full name, surname and address of the author must be indicated. If the author competes with his school, indicate the class and section to which he belongs, the name and complete address of the School, including telephone and/or fax and the name of the reference teacher.

Winners
Will 10 papers be selected based on originality? and to the quality? of the text. The selected stories will be included in a volume edited by INGV.
The authors, in addition to the prestige of seeing their work published, will be the protagonists of the day of presentation of the volume which will be attended by personalities? of science and science journalism. The winners will be given 5 copies each. Schools will be sent 10 copies.
