Today, June 25, at the Rome headquarters of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) the visit of the students of the University Master in Sustainable Development, Geopolitics of Resources and Arctic Studies organized by the Italian Society for International Organization ( SIOI) and sponsored by INGV.

The students were welcomed by Institute researchers who gave speeches on environmental issues in the Arctic, in light of the critical importance of the polar regions on global climate dynamics in a period of large and rapid environmental changes. The institution has consolidated scientific and technological experience in the Arctic and the objective of the master is to develop skills and competences in the sectors of the green economy, the geopolitics of energy and resources with particular attention to eco-sustainability and the use responsible for the territory with particular regard to the problems of the Arctic region and their possible influence on a global scale.
