The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, INGV, publishes the new version of IPSI (Italian Present-day Stress Indicators), the online database relating to the orientations of the active stress field in Italy, updated in June 2018 (http://doi.org/10.6092/INGV.IT-IPSI.1.2).
New in this release is the use of focal mechanism data from the Time Domain Moment Tensor TDMT-INGV catalog (http://cnt.rm.ingv.it/tdmt) for seismic events since January 2018. As for the rest of the focal mechanism data, earthquakes of M≥4 (usually moment magnitude, Mw) and crustal depth ≤40 km are taken into account. The TDMT focal mechanism data is also given a "C" quality (effort orientation within ±25°).

The online database IPSI (Italian Present-day Stress Indicators) has been updated to June 2018 (http://doi.org/10.6092/INGV.IT-IPSI.1.2).
The novelty of this release is the use of focal mechanism data from the TDMT-INGV Catalog (http://cnt.rm.ingv.it/tdmt) for earthquakes since January 2018. We take into account earthquakes with M≥4 (usually moment magnitude, Mw), and crustal depth ≤40 km. We assign "C" quality to all focal mechanism data (stress orientations within ±25°).
