Work begins in view of the appointment with the next Researchers' Night, scheduled this year for Friday 30 September in Bologna, Cesena, Forlì, Ravenna and Rimini. The organization of the event is led by the University of Bologna thanks to the SOCIETY project, which is joined by the major research centers of the Bologna area (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology - INGV, National Research Council of Bologna - CNR, Institute Institute of Astrophysics - INAF, National Institute of Nuclear Physics - INFN, Interuniversity Consortium CINECA), as well as the communication company FORMICABLU.

A joint effort that will explain how research is the most effective tool for reaching innovative solutions useful for tackling society's challenges and improving the quality of our lives. Workshops, exhibits, treasure hunts, meetings will give everyone the opportunity to get to know the life of researchers live and touch the importance and beauty of doing research.

Founded in 2005, Researchers' Night is an initiative of the European Commission which sees researchers from all EU countries meet up to meet the public in an evening dedicated to scientific dissemination and entertainment. SOCIETY is a European project co-financed under the Marie Curie Actions of the Horizon 2020 program and is one of the six projects selected in Italy by the European Commission.
