Appointment in Ustica from 1 to 7 July where the Volcanology Course will be held at the convention center of the Punta Spalmatore Village.

Organized by the Ustica Island Earth Science Museum Laboratory (LABMUST), in collaboration with the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), the educational week is intended for students and enthusiasts of all ages.

During the lessons, university professors and researchers will talk about submarine volcanoes of the Tyrrhenian Sea, paleomagnetism, Italian volcanoes and much more. Excursions among the volcanic formations of the island and an exhibition of mineral inclusions are planned.

For the occasion, INGV has set up 3 scholarships that will cover the tuition costs, awarded on the basis of the assessment of the Bachelor's or Master's degree thesis and CV. The course provides for the assignment of training credits for university students and a certificate of participation for all. Participants will be provided with teaching materials.
